A most elegant plate with spiral shanked moulded body. This beautiful plate is decorated with rich honey coloured gilding, this comprising a delicate scalloped line around the centre of the plate with a central gilded sprig within the gilt circle. In addition there is a thickly gilded line around the rim of the plate and a delicate garland of foliage around the inside of the rim.

This beautiful Coalport Plate is in generally very good condition with no cracks, repairs or restoration. Generally the gilding is good; the only minor imperfections are shown below.
There is some minimal wear to the gilding, mainly to the rim and the scalloped line in the base of the plate.
There are some tiny nibbles around the foot rim, but I think these were part of the manufacture as they are glazed over.
