An attractive New Hall hard paste porcelain tea bowl and saucer, c1795.

The tea bowl and saucer are elegantly decorated with an elegant and colourful floral design in pink, orange, green and yellow enamels.

There is a main painted garland of flowers around the bowl together with three different minor floral sprigs.

An orange cross and dot border runs round the inner rim of the tea bowl and in the base of the bowl is a single flower sprig.

The saucer is decorated with the same colourful floral design.

Marks:

There are no manufacturer's marks, but this a hard paste New Hall tea bowl and saucer , c1795.

Condition:

This delightful New Hall tea bowl and saucer are in very good condition with no cracks, chips, repairs or restoration. The only minor imperfection is some speckling in the glaze on the base of the tea bowl and a tiny 'blow hole' blemish on the foot rim of the tea bowl, as shown below. This is not damage but occurred during the manufacturing process.
