The teacup is of oval form and has a smooth body with elegantly shaped closed loop handle.

The body of the teacup is decorated all round with the fruiting vine pattern depicted in the typical Imari colours. There is an under glaze blue used to create the trunk of the vine. From this blue trunk emanate a wealth of fine gilt branches. Hanging on the branches are bunches of orange grapes and vine leaves outlined in gilded line form with dotted leaf veins. The  vine pattern is also continued round the inner rim of the cup. The rim of the cup is gilded.

The straight sided coffee can is also decorated all round with the fruiting vine pattern depicted in the typical Imari colours. There is an under glaze blue used to create the trunk of the vine. From this blue trunk emanate a wealth of fine gilt branches. Hanging on the branches are bunches of orange grapes and vine leaves outlined in gilded line form with dotted leaf veins. The  vine pattern is also continued round the inner rim of the coffee can. The rim of the coffee can is gilded.

As with the teacup and coffee can, the saucer carries the same decoration and in the centre of the saucer there is a central circular gilt cartouche with a vine and flower in the centre. The rim of the saucer is gilded.

A beautiful New Hall Trio of Coffee Can, Teacup and Saucer, c1810. Decorated with Pattern Number 446 of a fruiting vine in Imari colours and rich honey coloured gilding. A most handsome Trio for the collector of New Hall or early English porcelain.
