A charming Barr Worcester circular 'cake' or 'bread and butter' plate, decorated in under glaze cobalt blue and gilding dating from c1800. This delightful plate has been beautifully decorated with an elegant gilt design and is marked with the Barr Worcester impressed 'B' mark dating it to c1800.

The quality of the decoration of the plate is very fine. This decoration includes a rich under glaze cobalt blue band around the rim on which is a gilt line about which is entwined a gilt garland of leaves. The rim of the plate is gilded and there is a band of gilding below the cobalt blue band.

Evenly spaced around the bowl of the plate are three lovely gilt flower sprays.

In the centre of the plate is a cobalt blue and gilt circle in the centre of which is a charming gilt convolvulus flower (Morning Glory).

The plate has the Barr Worcester impressed mark of a 'B' on the under side.

A delightful piece of Barr Worcester porcelain from c1800. It would be a delightful addition to any collection of Barr Worcester porcelain.
