In the centre of the plate is the main fancy bird print. This shows three large exotic birds on the ground looking up at a bird flying close overhead. These birds are depicted within a landscape that includes a small section of picket fence, trees, shrubs and bull rushes.

Around the rim of the plate are six further prints equally spaced showing more exotic bird scenes, each one different. Each shows a pair of fancy birds in various positions within a landscape setting.

The shaped rim of the plate also has a beautiful moulded feather type boarder.

Size and Weight: (values are approximate)

bullet9ľ" (245mm) in diameter.
bullet13Ľoz (373gms) in weight.

Marks:

There are no manufacturers marks on this Creamware plate, but I believe it to be of Leeds origin.

Condition:

This exquisite creamware plate is in very good condition with no cracks, repairs or restoration. The printed scenes are all in good order. The only extremely minor imperfections are two very tiny nibble chips to the rim (shown in the first two pictures below) and some signs of wear in the form of glaze scratches to the underside of the plate where it has been in contact with a surface over the years.

This is certainly a very fine Leeds Creamware pottery plate for the collector.
